Open Campus Application

Open Campus is a special privilege permitting students to leave the school campus for a specific block. It is extended to eligible juniors & seniors who meet qualifying criteria for attendance, behavior, & academics. Please read the below information before completing an application.

Requirements

  • Student is in 11th or 12th grade 
  • Student is free of all fines 
  • If driving, student must have a valid parking permit. 
  • If being driven by another student, a note from the parent of the student driving and the parent of the student being driven must be submitted. 
  • If being driven by a parent, a note from the parent must be submitted.
  • Open Campus may only replace a study hall 
  • Student is in good standing for academics, attendance, and behavior

Rules & Expectations

Open Campus is a privilege and can be revoked if these rules and expectations are not followed. Students who lose their Open Campus privilege will be enrolled in a study hall and may be ineligible for Open Campus in the future.Here’s a few more just in case they are incorrect:

  • Students may only request Open Campus for an open block or study hall; it cannot be used as a replacement for a credited course.
  • Students must maintain good standing for attendance, behavior, and academics.
  • Students must leave campus at the start of their Open Campus block and must return to arrive at their next class on time.
  • Exception: A student may remain in the building to work with a teacher during their Open Campus block if the teacher gives permission, informs Attendance, and supervises the student during that time.
  • Students may only leave school during the blocks(s) they have Open Campus on their schedule. 
  • Students must enter through the main entrance and sign-in when arriving at school from Open Campus.
  • Student must exit through the main entrance and sign-out when leaving school for Open Campus. 
  • Students are responsible for being on time and being aware of changes to the High School schedule.
